infra/ingress-rpc
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The infra/ingress-rpc sub-crate (ingress-rpc-lib) was part of the infra crate group.
It ran an ingress JSON-RPC server that forwarded incoming transactions to the builder and wrote each one to Kafka for the audit trail.
What replaced it
Section titled “What replaced it”There is no drop-in successor crate. The removal took out the whole forwarding hop rather than reassigning it:
- The proxy layer is now the entry point.
proxydno longer forwards to an ingress service, and the devnet observability stack was renamed fromingresstotx-observabilityin the same change. See Transaction Event Journal. roxy, undercrates/infra/roxy, is the in-house Rust reverse proxy meant to displace theproxydfork. It is not a replacement for this crate, and its own README still describes it as scaffolding with no proxying implemented, so do not plan around it yet.
The transaction-event vocabulary kept its ingress-rpc producer value and its INGRESS_* event types on purpose, so that rows written before the removal still parse. Read those values; never emit them.
Source
Section titled “Source”The crate no longer exists on main. This link points at v1.4.0, the last release that carries it.
